Dear Gwen & Lincoln,
Reverend Gil shared a beautiful message at PopPop's service. He spoke of PopPop's stoic nature, his love of his family, his faithful service at the church and his love for his country, Corvettes and his job.
PopPop was a great man with so many admirable qualities.
But Reverend Gil's advice was not to be more like him. He said the best way to honor PopPop is to be you.
Be You.
Be. You.
And if you can be you and approach life with the same compassion and love that PopPop did that will be the greatest honor. Because when you are being true to yourself and doing what you love that's when you will feel the peace and love of PopPop.
