New Ways - Week in Review

The zoo started selling tickets for a drive through tour so we jumped on the opportunity. Dad likely bruised a rib when he slipped prepping the van for the zoo cruise but he toughed it out and did a telivisit check up the next day. He just needs time to heal.

Lincoln said the cruise was more boring than fun. The kids roamed around the van while we drove at a snail's pace past the animals. At one point Gwen went head first into the backseat floor. It looked dramatic but she was fine.

Lincoln made it to level 40 in iReady math! We expected a little more excitement because it was the highest level shown but it just sent him into level 41. We still celebrated with ice cream.

They resurfaced our street. It was interesting to watch and also made our house shake at some points.

Mom's favorite night of the school year is gallery night. Since it wasn't happening this year, Mom planned her own. She requested everyone to submit pieces and come dressed to impress (i.e. a shirt and non athletic shorts for Lincoln). Putting everything together and prepping for the "event" was one of Mom's most joyful quarentine days.

There are names for the pieces in Daddy's office too but we can save those for in person gallery tours.

Early Riser snuggles

We did a drive through teacher appreciation visit with Gwen's 2s class. It was sweet. Mom cried.

Family Movie night watching Scoob. Lincoln is really sensitive to the struggles of movie characters lately. It is heartening to watch him navigate his feelings.
